NiceHash returned 100% of stolen bitcoins to users
NiceHash, the cloud-mining platform, has completed a compensation programme for users totalling 4,640 BTC (about $107.3 million at the time of writing), lost in the December 2017 hack.
Bitcoin has also reached a new all-time-high today and caused a major spike in the number of transactions on the blockchain. This is causing delays in withdrawals and we kindly ask you for your patience. All your transactions will get processed.https://t.co/o12l9x20hz

Earlier, the Slovenia-based company promised to return 100% of the funds by 16 December 2020. Reimbursements were funded from platform fees.
In December 2017, an attacker withdrew more than 4,640 BTC from user wallets on the platform, worth about $60 million.
NiceHash launched the compensation programme in February 2018 — affected users received a portion of the funds on a monthly basis. By August of that year, the platform said it had returned 60% of the assets.
In 2019, the FBI charged NiceHash founder Matjaž Škorjanec with extortion and fraud through the Darkode darknet marketplace.
Recall that in December 2019 the company suspended reimbursements to preserve sufficient cash flow to continue operations.
