Data of 21 million users of three VPN services leaked online
Experts have found three databases containing the personal data of users of Android VPN services SuperVPN, GeckoVPN and ChatVPN for sale online.
As CyberNews reports, among the data for sale are usernames, email addresses, payment details, and device information. In total, the databases contain information on 21 million users.
The seller also offers potential buyers the ability to filter the data by country.
The Android app SuperVPN has been downloaded more than 100 million times, GeckoVPN — 10 million, and Chat VPN — 50,000.
Earlier, SuperVPN had a data breach. Last year, hackers gained access to personal data via an unsecured server of several popular free VPN apps.
That breach affected 20 million users.
