Tim Draper: Netflix Will Buy Bitcoin Next After Tesla

The streaming service Netflix will acquire its first cryptocurrency under its reserve-management policy, and the online retailer Amazon will add it as a payment option. This view was presented by venture investor and proponent of digital gold Tim Draper.

In February, Tesla became the first company on the S&P 500 index to acquire bitcoin.Investments totaled $1.5 billion.

“You know who’s next? That’s Netflix. [CEO] Reed Hastings — an innovator with a creative mindset… I think his company — an obvious contender from the Fortune 100 list”, Draper predicted.

Earlier in February, it was reported that Amazon was seeking developers to create a fiat-to-digital-currency conversion solution.

In one of Netflix’s series about the future, cryptocurrencies were used as a payment method.

Recently, Elon Musk called Tesla’s investment in the first cryptocurrency “quite risky”.

Analysts at Wedbush Securities noted that the stock prices of electric-vehicle manufacturers have become highly dependent on the price movements of digital gold.
