Moscow resident paid $11,000 to ‘cryptocurrency seller’ and did not receive any coins

A Moscow resident fell victim to a scammer who posed as a cryptocurrency seller.

According to local media, citing the Moscow police press service, the victim transferred $11,000 to a man with whom he had previously agreed to buy cryptocurrency.

\n

The latter stopped responding to contact, and the buyer did not receive the promised coins.

\n

Law enforcement authorities have opened a criminal case for fraud.

\n

Earlier, a resident of Sayanogorsk lost nearly 2 million rubles in an attempt to profit from cryptocurrency.
