Sayanogorsk resident loses nearly 2 million rubles chasing crypto profits

A local resident contacted the Sayanogorsk authorities after becoming a victim of scammers while trying to profit from cryptocurrency trading. This is reported on the site of the local MVD.

The victim found the opportunity online — the scammers promised quick profits. To participate, one had to pay for registration on a platform and buy cryptocurrencies.

The victim transferred funds to various accounts in stages and took out several loans. In total, she handed over 1,985,000 rubles to the scammers.

A criminal case has been opened for large-scale fraud. The investigation is ongoing.

Earlier in Sverdlovsk Oblast, lost 800,000 rubles due to crypto scammers.
