Beeple’s NFT sells at Christie’s for $69.3 million

The British auction house Christie’s sold the non-fungible token (NFT) by Mike Winkelman, known by the moniker Beeple. A total of 353 bids were placed.

The piece ‘Everydays: The First 5000 Days’ is a collage of Beeple’s thousands of works published online since 2007. The announced auction on February 16 — the starting price was $100.

At the end of February, Beeple’s NFT token featuring Trump for $6.6 million was resold. In December 2020, the artist earned $582,000 for “Crossroad.”

In March, Twitter founder Jack Dorsey listed for sale his first tweet as an NFT. At the time of writing, the top bid had reached $2.5 million. Dorsey promised to donate the proceeds to charity.

As reported, the NFT copy of Banksy’s burned painting titled “Morons” sold for 228.69 ETH.
