Audius streaming platform integrated with Phantom wallet on Solana

Developers have integrated the decentralized streaming platform Audius with the Phantom crypto wallet on the Solana blockchain. Users can now add to their profile NFTs issued on the rival Ethereum network.

As with the MetaMask integration, Phantom can be connected to a profile to display NFTs by Silver Tier holders — that is, accounts holding at least 100 AUDIO governance tokens.

NFTs are displayed in the “Collectibles” tab. It’s an online gallery of sorts, and not a marketplace.

“As we continue moving parts of Audius to Solana, it’s important that we deeply and native-ly integrate with its broad audience. We put user experience first,” said co-founder Forrest Browning in an interview with Decrypt.

According to DeFi Llama, the value of assets locked in Solana DeFi apps surpassed $3.94 billion. The rise of NFT popularity on this blockchain has played a significant role as well. For example, the value of some tokens from the Degenerate Ape Academy collection reached a million dollars.

In August, the Solana token price surpassed the $100 mark, and on September 3 hit a new high above $140. Over the last month, SOL has risen by 312%, according to CoinGecko. At the time of writing it trades near $141.

Back in July, Phantom crypto wallet attracted $9 million in a funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz.
