Snoop Dogg admits he is behind the $17.7m NFT collection account Cozomo de’ Medici

American rapper Snoop Dogg disclosed that he is indeed Cozomo de’ Medici, the collector behind a portfolio of 247 non-fungible tokens (NFTs), including nine CryptoPunks. DappRadar values it at $17.7m.

Snoop Dogg created the Twitter account Cozomo de’ Medici in August 2021 and since then has amassed 37,000 followers. During this time he has discussed his NFT investments, demonstrating deep subject-matter expertise.

In addition to CryptoPunks, valued from $348,250 to $4.73m and ten Meebits, his portfolio includes generative artworks. Among them is the NFT ‘Fragments of the Endless Field’ by artist Monica Riccioli, sold on the Art Blocks marketplace.

In March, released a collection of NFTs on the Crypto.com marketplace, and in April—in collaboration with the creator of the Nyan Cat meme GIF, Chris Torres. The Snoop x Nyancat token serves as Cozomo de’ Medici’s profile picture.

The well-known American comedian Steve Harvey launched a line of non-fungible tokens to raise funds for his family charity foundation.

In September, pursuing similar goals, the TV host and blogger Nastya Ivleeva announced the launch of the NFT project ‘SON’.
