Roskomnadzor to curb six more VPN services

Roskomnadzor intends to restrict the use of six more VPN services. This follows from a statement on the agency’s website.

The services include Betternet, Lantern, X-VPN, Cloudflare WARP, Tachyon VPN, and PrivateTunnel.

According to Roskomnadzor, they help circumvent restrictions, enabling access to information banned in Russia.

The regulator has sent requests to companies and organisations asking whether these services are used to support their operations.

In June, Roskomnadzor restricted access to VPN services VyprVPN and Opera VPN, and in September — to Hola!VPN, ExpressVPN, KeepSolid VPN Unlimited, Nord VPN, Speedify VPN and IPVanish VPN. Prior to the blocks, the regulator sent similar requests to companies and organisations.
