KAMAZ to develop an auto-parts accounting system on the Everscale blockchain
KAMAZ and TON Labs, a key participant in the Everscale ecosystem (formerly Free TON), have signed an agreement for the phased integration of blockchain into the manufacturer’s products, according to a press release.
As a result, KAMAZ will become the first industrial enterprise to use blockchain in its day-to-day operations.
In the first phase, the partners will develop a system to record in the Everscale blockchain information about each part manufactured at KAMAZ plants or supplied by the company’s partners.
Service centers are planned to receive interfaces for the intake and write-off of spare parts that are sold or used for warranty repairs. According to the statement, a mobile app will be launched to help locate the required original parts.
TON Labs noted that the initiative will reduce counterfeit parts. Also, KAMAZ will begin receiving rapid feedback about parts from service centers. The latter, in turn, will be able to refuse warranty service in cases of breakdowns due to the use of non-original parts.
Earlier in May, HumanVenture used the Everscale network in the project ‘Prodkarta’. As part of the project, several thousand low-income families were issued food cards that can be used to purchase groceries and essential goods in Pyaterochka and Magnit stores.
