Rarible adds NFT support on Polygon

NFT marketplace Rarible has added support for assets issued on the Layer 2 network Polygon. Decrypt reports.

The integration brings the number of protocols supported by the platform to four, alongside Ethereum, Tezos and Flow.

Rarible said that, as part of the partnership, Polygon Studios’ NFT and gaming division will provide technical and marketing support.

«As the protocol continues to evolve into a platform for NFT developers, assistance from Polygon Studios will be extremely useful,» said Rarible CEO Alexey Falin.

The marketplace team also announced the launch of its own multi-chain wallet. The solution will enable users to use multiple networks.

«We know firsthand how inconvenient it is to enter and exit wallets that store collectible tokens spanning multiple blockchains,» emphasized Falin.

The platform sits 17th in DappRadar’s ranking, with trading volume of $1.64 million over the last 30 days. The leader, OpenSea, has $2.64 billion.

OpenSea supports Ethereum, Klaytn and Polygon.

In March, the Polygon platform halted for about eight hours after a failed upgrade.
