
Line launches NFT marketplace
Line, the operator of the eponymous messaging app, has launched a platform for trading non-fungible tokens.

The initiative was carried out by LVC Corporation, a Line subsidiary that oversees its crypto business.
In partnership with the major Japanese entertainment conglomerate Yoshimoto Kogyo, the marketplace will offer around 40,000 NFT. In particular, tokens in the form of characters and videos from popular anime series such as Patlabor the Mobile Police.
Purchased NFTs will be stored in the LINE BitMAX wallet.
Earlier, the Japanese e-commerce giant Rakuten launched its own NFT marketplace.
In 2018, Line announced the launch of its public blockchain Link Chain and its cryptocurrency called Link. In the same year, the company launched the cryptocurrency exchange Bitbox in Singapore.
In 2019, Line opened a regulated digital asset platform BitMax for users in Japan.
