
Bloomberg: Blockchain.com to go public via IPO this year
The exchange and cryptocurrency wallet provider Blockchain.com plans to conduct IPO tentatively in 2022. Bloomberg reports, citing informed sources.
At this stage, the company is discussing with investment banks the organisation of the initial public offering process.
According to reports, Blockchain.com’s valuation during the latest funding round, with the participation of Lightspeed Venture Partners and Baillie Gifford reached $14 billion.
According to information on the site, Coinbase’s services are used by 37 million users across 200 countries. About 82 million wallets on the platform account for roughly a third of Bitcoin network transactions.
Earlier, Blockchain.com’s chief financial officer Makrina Kgil did not rule out an IPO in 2023.
