Among the marketplace’s features, the company cited zero transaction fees — collectors will pay only gas.
The platform will initially support assets on Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, and OKX’s blockchain. Users will be able to connect external wallets such as MetaMask.
According to the statement, the marketplace will feature NFTs from popular collections such as Bored Apes, World of Women, Boss Beauties and CryptoPunks.
OKCoin plans to issue its own line of collectible tokens. Holders of the asset will receive privileges, including participation in airdrops, NFTs, and “much more.”
“We are launching a free market for NFTs, where prices and profits will be determined by supply and demand to a greater extent than anywhere else. Web 3.0 is about restoring people’s economic power, and we are contributing by giving them as much sovereignty as possible when it comes to money, and now art as well,” — said Hong Fang, CEO of OKCoin.
As part of its ‘cryptocurrency for everyone’ concept, the exchange will support on the marketplace collections from creators from demographic groups that are underserved by technological innovations and traditional finance. The platform’s partner in these efforts will be OKCoin Brand Advisory Council chair, Randi Zuckerberg.
Mark Zuckerberg’s sister joined the company in December 2021.
