Anonymous hackers publish documents from Sberbank’s database

The hacker group Anonymous, in one of its Twitter accounts, said it had gained access to Sberbank’s database.

According to the hackers, the leak contains “email addresses of 5,030 customers, phone numbers, addresses.”

An archive with five Excel files is attached to the tweet:

• data on available bank safety deposit boxes as of 14 June 2016;
• a list of real estate appraisal companies/individual entrepreneurs (4106 rows);
• a register of partner appraisers (211 rows);
• the reference document “List of types of urgent contracts used in trading operations in the FORTS trading system”;
• an empty template “Certificate of property status and current liabilities”.

Sberbank declined to comment on the leak.

Earlier, after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Anonymous declared a cyberwar on Russia.

In late March, hackers published what they claimed were 28 GB of data belonging to the Bank of Russia on one Twitter account, including hundreds of audit reports and information on bank owners. The Bank of Russia, the regulator, denied information about the breach.

In early May, NB65, a group affiliated with Anonymous, said it had gained access to the database of the Russian payment system QIWI totaling 10.5 TB. The company said that customers’ personal data are safe.
