Jacobi Asset Management secures Bitcoin ETF listing on Euronext Amsterdam

London-based Jacobi Asset Management has secured a Bitcoin-based exchange-traded fund (ETF) listing on Euronext Amsterdam.

Trading of the instrument under the ticker BCOIN will commence in July. A concrete date has not been announced.

Custodial services will be provided by Fidelity Digital Assets. Flow Traders and DRW will act as market makers. Legal support was provided by Kennedy Van der Laan.

Jacobi Asset Management secured permission to launch the world’s first Bitcoin ETF in Europe from the Guernsey Financial Services Commission in October 2021. To date, ETNs listed on regional exchanges have been debt instruments.

The management fee will be 1.5% of AUM, with a minimum investment of $100 000.

Access to BCOIN will be available to institutional and professional investors.

The Netherlands will become the fourth country to approve a Bitcoin ETF listing after Canada, Brazil and Australia.

As previously reported, Grayscale Investments filed suit against the SEC over the regulator’s refusal to convert GBTC into a Bitcoin ETF.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has yet to approve any application to launch a spot Bitcoin ETF.
