Citigroup to Hire Risk Managers for DeFi and CBDC

The financial conglomerate Citigroup has posted two risk-management roles in the digital assets space.

One will специализироваться on decentralized finance, stablecoins and cryptocurrencies. The other сосредоточится on CBDCs, digital securities and enterprise blockchains.

Both managers should develop a unified approach to risk management and to respond to new initiatives, concepts and strategic partnerships in their respective areas.

Based on the job descriptions, he suggested that Citi is primarily looking not for technical performers, but for market researchers.

In November 2021, Citigroup announced the launch of a cryptocurrency-focused division within its institutional client services group. The unit was slated to hire 100 specialists.

In June, the financial conglomerate, in collaboration with infrastructure company Metaco, began work on a pilot project for a platform to store and manage digital assets.
