Google begins displaying Ethereum wallet balances

The Google search engine has begun directly providing data on Ethereum wallets. This was noted by Han Hua, the lead investor at Google Ventures.

When a user pastes an Ethereum address into the search bar, Google displays its balance. The data are drawn from the Etherscan explorer.

The feature is available to a limited number of users and does not display balances for wallets holding coins other than ETH.

In September, in the run-up to the The Merge launch, Google launched a countdown doodle ahead of the activation of the update on the Ethereum network.
