Robinhood to hire sanctions-compliance experts
Online broker Robinhood posted openings for sanctions-compliance specialists in the anti-financial-crime division.
Among the requirements is at least two years’ experience in the field. They should also be familiar with cryptocurrencies.
Preference will be given to candidates familiar with Chainalysis products.
The initiative emerged ahead of the official launch non-custodial Web3-wallet.
In September, Robinhood launched a beta version of its app.
The Polygon-based wallet will enable commission-free trading of more than 20 cryptocurrencies supported by the decentralized exchange 0x. Additional revenue will come from direct access to DeFi and NFT segments, as well as the ability to connect to dapps.
Robinhood Wallet is available to 10,000 users who, in May, were the first to sign up for the early-access waitlist for the product.
In August, the New York State Department of Financial Services fined $30 million on the broker’s cryptocurrency unit for breaches of AML rules and cybersecurity policy.
