
Fleek, the Web3 developer platform, closes $25 million Series A
The platform for Web3 developers Fleek has closed a $25 million Series A round. It was led by Polychain Capital.

Funding also came from Digital Currency Group, North Island Ventures and Coinbase Ventures.

Founded in 2018, Fleek (formerly Terminal) offered users an easy way to create, deploy, and host websites and apps built on IPFS.

Fleek provides hosting and data storage services via Web3 protocols. The company works with infrastructure players such as AWS and Cloudflare.

In 2023 the startup plans to launch Fleek Network — a decentralized content delivery and application platform for Web3. It will cut dependence on centralized intermediaries. The network will be based on L2 solution for Ethereum.

Earlier, Filecoin launched the Saturn content delivery network.

In November, Binance founded the Industry Recovery Initiative, a fund aimed at rebooting the Web3 industry. Its size will total up to $2 billion.
