According to the press release, the initiative is planned to launch in January 2023.
For minting NFT, users will be prompted to drag images or videos into the browser window. The software will automatically convert the files and upload them to the blockchain via smart contracts.
“Now our users will be able to create NFTs instantly and simply, without platform usage fees, encouraging more people to explore the growing segment,” said Susie Batt, head of Opera’s crypto ecosystem.
NFT holders will be able to transfer them to anyone or sell them on marketplaces. The created tokens will be stored in a crypto wallet supported by the browser. In September, Opera Crypto Browser integrated MetaMask, Trust Wallet and others.
Earlier in November, Meta announced the ability to create its own NFT collections on Instagram. The feature will initially be available on the Polygon blockchain.
Earlier, the team of the decentralized exchange Uniswap launched its own NFT aggregator.
