Iranian mining company to enter Russian market
The regulated Dara Miner mining platform from Iran has entered into a strategic partnership with the Russian data-centre operator BitRiver. This was reported by РБК.
The parties agreed to provide private Iranian clients with access to Bitcoin mining in Russia.
They will be able to utilise a turnkey mining service, including hosting and equipment maintenance.
BitRiver forecasts that within a year Iranian users will deploy up to 150 MW out of 1 GW of Russian computing power.
Earlier ForkLog reported a reduction in energy consumption by miners in Russia.
In February, the U.S. Treasury imposed sanctions on the BitRiver group of companies.
