Crypto.com granted registration in the Netherlands
The Dutch Central Bank (DNB) has approved Crypto.com’s registration as a cryptocurrency services provider.

“Cooperation with regulators to responsibly promote the crypto- and blockchain industry is of paramount importance for Crypto.com. This approval from the DNB is an important milestone for our business and a testament to our commitment to compliance,” said the platform’s CEO Kris Marshalek.
According to the DNB’s public register, at the time of writing 36 companies related to digital assets have registered. Among them are eToro, Bitstamp and Coinbase Europe.
In June 2023, the Bank of Spain registered Crypto.com as a virtual asset service provider (VASP).
Earlier the platform obtained permission to operate with crypto assets in the United Kingdom. In the same month itacquired a payment services provider PnLink and a provider of digital assets OK-BIT with the corresponding licenses from South Korean regulators.
In late 2022, the DNB warned consumers that the cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin was providing services in the country without the necessary registration.
In the summer of 2023, Binance announced its exit from the Netherlands because it could not obtain a VASP license from the local regulator.
