Binance.US partners with MoonPay to add USD top-ups for USDT
The US arm of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance entered into a partnership with the infrastructure provider MoonPay to add an alternative method for topping up a USDT balance in USD.
Purchasing the stablecoin is available with debit or credit cards, Apple Pay or Google Pay. In the future, USDT can be exchanged for other cryptocurrencies or fiat.
The minimum order via MoonPay is $30. A 3.49% fee applies to purchases of USDT, and 2.25% on sales.
When using the service for the first time, the user must complete KYC-procedure on the provider’s site.
MoonPay is available to the exchange’s customers in all supported states, except Louisiana.
Earlier in June, Binance.US announced the suspension of dollar deposits and urged customers to withdraw fiat funds by June 13.
On June 22, the platform announced a delisting of cryptocurrencies from USD trading pairs. Only BTC, ETH, ADA, BNB, LTC, MATIC, SOL, VET, USDC and USDT will remain listed.
