Amber Group reports death of co-founder Tiantian Kullander

On November 23, Amber Group co-founder Tiantian Kullander died. The information is on the cryptocurrency platform’s website.

Cause of death has not been disclosed. According to a press release, the entrepreneur leaves behind a wife and a son.

“[Kullander] played an important role in Amber’s founding and became one of the pillars of our success. … He sat on the board of Fnatic and created KeeperDAO,” the company noted.

Before Amber Group, Kullander worked at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. In 2019 Forbes included him in the annual list “30 Under 30” (Asia).

In February 2022, the Singapore-based company raised $200 million at a valuation of $3 billion and acquired the Japanese Bitcoin exchange DeCurret.

In the spring, Bloomberg sources reported plans for Amber Group to raise investment at a $10 billion valuation.
