American woman uncovers husband's stash of 12 BTC amid divorce

A New York woman uncovered secret cryptocurrency holdings of her husband during a divorce proceeding. This is reported by CNBC.

For asset division, she enlisted a court-appointed forensic accountant to trace her husband’s assets. She knew he earned $3 million a year, but the statement he provided clearly did not reflect all of his assets.

As a result, the specialist found that the man had not disclosed 12 BTC worth about $500,000 stored in an undisclosed cryptocurrency wallet belonging to the husband.

“We never discussed this and did not invest together. This was definitely a shock,” said the woman.

Now her husband will have to part with some of his Bitcoin holdings.

Earlier in March 2021, a Reddit user said his wife left him due to his refusal to sell the first cryptocurrency at the $60,000 mark.
