Reddit user loses wife after refusing to sell Bitcoin at $60,000
A Reddit user going by the handle Parking_Meater described family problems over the decision not to sell Bitcoin at $60,000. He said his wife did not approve of the move and left.
The investor stressed that the family lives in comfort and does not need money. When the price of Bitcoin reached $60 000, the user ignored his wife’s request to sell the assets.
He noted that he bought more digital gold during the current dip, which exacerbated the conflict.
“She was so angry that she almost struck me. […] She told me not to talk to her,” wrote Parking_Meater.
Some users advised him to set aside the cryptocurrency for a divorce lawyer or give his wife half the private key to the wallet. However, most commentators approved of the post author’s strategy.
According to CoinGecko, in the last 24 hours Bitcoin fell 9.8%, and over the last seven days — 13.6%. At the time of writing the leading cryptocurrency was trading around $50 900.
Earlier in January, a Reddit user wrote a joking post and predicted Tesla’s investment in Bitcoin. In February, it emerged that the electric-car maker invested $1.5 billion in digital gold.
