Anonymous gains access to a new large tranche of Russian government data.

The hacker group Anonymous said it had gained access to almost 600,000 emails amounting to 712 GB from various Russian government agencies.

As a result of the breach, data from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation totaling 446 GB leaked, another 150 GB of data from the authorities of Blagoveshchensk, and 116 GB of emails from the governor and administration of the Tver region.

Earlier, Anonymous said that since the start of the war they had posted more than 2 million Russian emails online.

As noted, Anonymous declared cyberwar against Russia amid its invasion of Ukraine.

Hackers breached Russian TV channels and streaming services Wink and Ivi, broadcasting footage of the war in Ukraine, All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, and also claimed to have hacked the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
