Bakkt analysts predicted cryptocurrency market to reach $3 trillion

The cryptocurrency market could rise to $3 trillion by 2025. That forecast was made by Bakkt platform analysts in презентации для инвесторов.

According to the company, Bakkt’s Serviceable Available Market (SAM) in 2020 stood at $1.6 trillion, including $564 billion in cryptocurrency (data as of 14 December 2020). The total SAM by 2025 is projected to reach $5.1 trillion, including $3 trillion in cryptocurrency.

Last week the cryptocurrency market capitalisation briefly surpassed $1 trillion, but the metric slid below that level in step with Bitcoin’s correction. At the time of writing it stood at $964 млрд.

On 9 January, Bitcoin’s market capitalization reached 7% of the total value of gold.

Earlier, in Bakkt confirmed going public with a valuation of $2.1 billion.
