As a result of the latest adjustment, the mining difficulty of the first cryptocurrency rose by 1.16%. The metric posted a new all-time high at 43.55 T.

According to Glassnode, the network’s smoothed 7-day moving average hash rate is near 315 EH/s.

Hashprice with a value of $0.065 per TH/s per day fell to its lowest level in the past month.

In January, the mining difficulty for the first cryptocurrency rose by 4.68%, updating a historical maximum at 39.35 T. In February the indicator increased by another 10%, to 43.05 T.

In March, the U.S. Treasury advocated for the introduction of an excise tax on mining companies, at 30% of the electricity costs consumed by the equipment.
