According to on-chain data, the Bitcoin whale moved 278 BTC ($7.8 million at the time of writing) to three new wallets, dividing them roughly evenly.

Data: Blockstream.

The bulk of the assets, 1128 BTC (~$31.5 million at the time), was acquired by an unknown user in October 2012 and May 2013 at prices of $12 and $195 per coin, respectively.

On April 19, 6071 BTC moved after nine years of “sleep.” The Telegram channel GFiSchannel suggested that the transactions could be linked to the original Mt. Gox exchange owner Jed McCaleb.

Earlier in February, 2.04 million DOGE moved, inactive for nine years.

In March, three whales within minutes moved a total of 244,148 ETH.
