BitFuFu signs Bitmain deal for up to 80,000 Bitcoin miners

Cloud-mining provider BitFuFu has signed a contract with Bitmain to purchase up to 80,000 S-series miners.

The contract runs for two years and includes flexible payment terms. According to BitFuFu, the deal will allow the company to buy the latest machines, including the S21 XP and S21 Pro models.

“Our close strategic partnership with Bitmain ensures stable deliveries of new miners for the rapid expansion of our infrastructure worldwide with the goal of increasing capacity by 1 GW by the end of 2026,” said BitFuFu CEO Leo Lu.

The company’s shares rose 13.13%.

In October, BitFuFu signed a definitive agreement to acquire a controlling stake in an 80 MW Bitcoin-mining venture in Ethiopia.

Also in October, Bitmain unveiled two new variants of its Antminer S21-series Bitcoin-mining machines.
