Bitmain Expands Antminer S21 Series with Two New Bitcoin Miners

At the Bitcoin Amsterdam 2024 forum, Bitmain unveiled two new modifications of its Antminer S21 series for bitcoin mining.

According to the specifications, the S21+ Hyd miner with hydro cooling delivers a hash rate of 319 TH/s with an energy efficiency of 15 J/TH.

The S21+ model with air cooling features a hash rate of 216 TH/s and 16.5 J/TH respectively.

Demonstrated charts showed that both devices maintain chip operating temperatures well, with minimal performance loss as temperatures rise.

The new miners are scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2025.

The first model in the Antminer S21 series was introduced by the manufacturer in August 2023. This device offers a hash rate of 270 TH/s with energy consumption of 17.5 J/TH. In February, the miner won the “Technological Breakthrough of the Year” award at the inaugural Mining Awards 2023 by Bitdeer, founded by Jihan Wu.

Earlier in June, at the World Digital Mining Summit in Las Vegas, Bitmain showcased more powerful units S21 XP and S21 XP Hyd.
