Bitget announces entry into the Russian-speaking market

The cryptocurrency derivatives exchange Bitget has translated the main sections of its site into Russian. The localisation marks the first step in expanding the exchange’s presence in the CIS markets.

In addition, Bitget announced the launch of the Bitget Global Ambassador program and the copy-trader recruitment.

“Bitget was among the first exchanges to launch a copy-trading service. This tool allows sharing part of the profits for the ability to automatically copy the trades of experienced traders. We managed to attract around 10,000 top traders from around the world,” said Bitget CEO Sandra Lu.

To become a copy trader, one must complete verification and submit an application on the Bitget site.

Bitget is a cryptocurrency exchange headquartered in Singapore. The company has been operating since 2018 and serves 1.6 million users from 46 countries and regions. The majority of the audience comprises users from South Korea and China. In August 2021, the share of Bitget users from Russia reached 8%.

The trading platform supports 55 spot and 23 futures markets. According to CoinMarketCap, Bitget ranks in the top 10 exchanges by trading volumes in crypto derivatives markets. Bitget users can purchase cryptocurrencies using Visa, MasterCard, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay.

Bitget has received a Money Services Business (MSB) license from the United States’ Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), and also licenses from regulators in Australia, Canada and Singapore.

Earlier, DBS Bank’s brokerage arm, the largest bank in Singapore, received a ‘principled’ approval from the country’s financial regulator to provide cryptocurrency services to asset managers and companies.
