The NFT, titled Lineal by Tyson Fury, has become one of the most expensive sports NFTs.
For comparison: footballer Cristiano Ronaldo sold an NFT for $300,000, and basketball star LeBron James for $200,000.
The NFT buyer will also receive a 5-by-5-foot physical image of the token, measuring about 152-by-152 cm, signed by Tyson Fury, a boxing glove with his autograph, and a video greeting.
“It was great to work with the HoDooi team, and I’m glad we are all part of history with one of the highest bids on a single sports NFT,” Fury commented.
The collection of the boxer’s non-fungible tokens is also offered in five rarity levels: Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Launched on July 14, the HoDooi marketplace operates on the Binance Smart Chain.
Earlier, Floyd Mayweather, a multiple-time world boxing champion, launched his NFT collection.
In the first half of 2021, the volume of NFT sales reached $2,5 billion.
