The U.S. division of Mawson Infrastructure Group (formerly Wize Pharma) has agreed with Canaan Creative to supply and install 11,760 AvalonMiner A1246 units during 2021. CoinDesk reports.
After deployment of the equipment, the Australian firm’s hashrate will increase by 1.05 EH/s.
According to Canaan’s documentation, the AvalonMiner A1246 provides a hash rate of 90 TH/s with an energy efficiency of 38 J/TH.
posted a net loss of $33 million, reducing the hash rate of sold devices by 37.1%.
In April 2021, investors filed a class-action against Canaan, alleging concealment of supply failures.
In March, the ASIC miner maker sold 8,400 AvalonMiner A1246 units to Blockcap, and in February—6,000 similar models to Core Scientific.
