OpenAI, Sam Altman’s company, has integrated a Canva-based plugin into the ChatGPT chatbot that generates images from text.

“Create anything in the blink of an eye, from presentations and logos to social media posts and much more,” the tool’s description says.

\n\n
To use this feature, you need to run ChatGPT in a browser, go to the ‘Plugin Store’ and find Canva there. After installation the utility will appear in the main menu of the chatbot.

The plugin can generate images for specific purposes, using the capabilities of the Canva web-design service. After a text prompt, the AI will offer several image options, which can be edited manually in Canva’s workspace.

For example, blogger Howfinity asked the AI to create “an Instagram post counting down to Black Friday.” The neural network handles the task in a matter of seconds.

The tool is currently available only to subscribers of the extended ChatGPT Plus plan for $20.

In July, developers released a new plugin for the chatbot, which can analyze data, generate Python code, build charts and solve mathematical problems. The neural networks managed to debunk the ‘Flat Earth’ theory.

In August, OpenAI launched ChatGPT Enterprise — a faster, safer and more capable version of the chatbot for corporate clients.
