China’s BSN adds support for Polkadot, Oasis and Bityuan

BSN, the Chinese Infrastructure Blockchain Platform, has integrated the cross-chain protocol Polkadot, the Oasis Network cloud computing service, and the Bityuan project into its network.

The aim of expanding the list of projects is to unite multiple blockchains on a single platform.

As part of the collaboration, Polkadot plans to join the BSN Open Permissioned Blockchain Initiative. This will enable the project to bring its products to the Chinese market.

As a standard for deploying and maintaining private blockchains, BSN will add support for the Substrate framework. In Polkadot, this solution is used to create decentralized applications.

The Oasis Network, which raised over $46 million in a 2018 private token sale from Andreessen Horowitz, Binance and others, will help in creating private and scalable DeFi applications.

The head of the Oasis Foundation, Jerney Kos, said that the network’s privacy features will help in creating a new type of digital asset — the so-called tokenized data, writes CoinDesk.

“They give users the ability to control their data and receive rewards for hosting it,” Kos noted.

BSN will also integrate support for Bityuan, whose task is to provide blockchain-based solutions to companies in China.

Earlier, Forrester analyst Marta Bennett doubted BSN’s prospects of becoming a global network. In her view, partnerships would be deterred by initiatives linked to the Chinese government.
