
Cloudflare says gateways ready for The Merge
Cloudflare, a network services provider, announced support by gateways for the upcoming September 15 transition of the Ethereum network to the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm.

The service also added support for Görli and Sepolia testnets. With the latter, users can test The Merge. This capability will ensure reliability and security when implementing changes before deploying to the main Ethereum network.
The company enables interaction with the blockchain of the second-largest cryptocurrency via API.
Cloudflare is the largest internet infrastructure company with an 80% market share. Most crypto platforms, including FTX, KuCoin, Kraken, Coinbase, WazirX, eToro, CoinMarketCap, Coingecko, Nexo connect to the global network through the provider’s services.
According to Ethernodes, 85.1% of Ethereum nodes signaled readiness for the merge ahead of the Bellatrix upgrade.
According to the countdown timer, launched by Google, there are a little over 16 hours left until the mainnet migrates to PoS.
Earlier, the founder of ConsenSys and one of Ethereum’s co-founders Joseph Lubin called The Merge the third major event in the industry.
