CNN to Sell Historic News Moments as NFTs

CNN will put up for sale historic moments in its news coverage as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as part of the Vault by CNN: Moments That Changed Us project.

The NFT collection will include landmark moments from CNN’s 41-year history, including exclusive archival footage, presidential election results, space travel and other major news.

At the end of June CNN will release both limited-edition and open-edition NFTs on the Flow blockchain.

In March, TIME sold three of its own covers in the form of non-fungible tokens for 241 ETH. In April, the publication began accepting cryptocurrency to pay for subscriptions.

In May, the Associated Press released a collection of NFTs to mark the agency’s 175th anniversary and its journalism.

In June, Fox announced the launch of a fund to invest in non-fungible tokens worth $100 million.
