
Community uncovers video about Hal Finney and ZKPs
Web3-based project built on the Bitcoin network, Trust Machines published a video from 25 years ago, in which Bitcoin pioneer Hal Finney explains the essence zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP).

In the video, the cryptographer who played a key role in the development of Bitcoin speaks at the Crypto ’98 conference in Santa Barbara (California, USA).
In it Finney praised his colleagues Ronald Cramer and Ivan Damgård for a “very efficient and fairly flexible” ZKP-based solution.
Zero-knowledge proofs became the basis for one of the directions of rollups — the technology L2-networks, and also some payment solutions.
Back in January this year, the 14th anniversary of the first Bitcoin transaction was observed. The creator of digital gold under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto then sent 10 BTC to cryptographer Hal Finney.
