Developers at ConsenSyslaunched the alpha mainnet of Linea —second-layer solutions built on ZK-Rollups technology.
\n\n
The platform is fully compatible with EVM — supports mainnet code, and developers can use existing tooling and infrastructure.
\n\n
ConsenSys said Linea aims to offer an economically efficient solution for developers and users, with transaction costs 15 times lower than Ethereum.
\n\n
The project’s ecosystem includes more than 100 protocols.
\n\n
The solution will integrate MetaMask, Infura, Diligence and Hyperledger Besu.

«The next chapter Web3 will be written on Ethereum L2. Linea is ready to become the main execution environment for scalable dapps», — said ConsenSys founder and CEO Joe Lubin.

\n\n
Over the coming week, the team will bring on partners to integrate applications and the necessary infrastructure.
\n\n
On July 19, during ETHCC, developers will open access to the general public.
\n\n
The mainnet launch followed successful testing on the testnet Goerli.
\n\n
At this stage, 5.5 million unique wallets were involved, and over three months they conducted more than 46 million transactions.
\n\n
The developers said they have no plans to launch a utility token. Any promotion of the Linea token is fraudulent, they warned.
\n\n
In May 2023, the Linea platform introduced a loyalty program aimed at boosting testnet activity.
\n\n
Earlier, support for the L2 solution was added by the cross-chain liquidity protocol Symbiosis Finance.
