DFINITY and SingularityNET integrate AI on the blockchain

As part of a partnership agreement, DFINITY and SingularityNET will combine artificial intelligence with blockchain, smart contracts, and decentralized networks.

SingularityNET will integrate the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) network into its AI tools marketplace. The initiative will allow developers to run language models within smart contracts on the blockchain.

“The collaboration enhances the transparency and trustworthiness of DeAI models developed and deployed on ICP, using SingularityNET’s reputation system and governance framework,” said DFINITY founder Dominic Williams.

According to him, the main goal of the collaboration is to combine the strengths of each platform and enable the development and deployment of AI applications that are cost-effective, transparent, and secure.

The platform operates using a consensus mechanism Proof-of-Reputation, which tracks the performance and quality of network services, awarding ratings based on feedback. Priority for creating a block in the network is given to validators with the best performance. 

In addition to the ICP integration, the two companies will unite their funding programs. According to the statement, the initiative is designed to incentivize developers and provide resources that can be used to improve decentralized AI.

Earlier, the DFINITY Foundation unveiled a grant program worth $5 million to develop DeAI. 

Earlier in January, the DFINITY Foundation announced the launch of the first decentralized Sonic exchange on the ICP network.

Later, the organization introduced Chain-Key Bitcoin — a token backed by Bitcoin at a 1:1 ratio.
