The proposal to distribute 5 million UNI tokens among users who interacted with Uniswap via third-party platforms is gaining popularity.
For the second Uniswap initiative in its history initiative, nearly 26 million UNI tokens were voted in favour, with 1.26 million against.
If accepted, 5.05 million UNI will be distributed among 12,619 wallet addresses that interacted with the services MyEtherWallet, Argent, Dharma, DeFi Saver, Nuo, Eidoo, Opyn, Furucombo, Monolith and Rebalance through September 1. Each will receive 400 UNI from the Uniswap platform.
The proposer of the proposal is the Dharma lending protocol. The voting ends tomorrow, October 31. For adoption, a quorum of 40 million votes is required.
Dharma is also the initiator of Uniswap’s first-ever vote on lowering the minimum threshold for submitting governance proposals.
The vote closed on October 19 at 9:57 (GMT+3). To approve the proposal, 403,241 of 40 million votes were lacking (1%).
As reported in September, Uniswap distributed 113 million UNI tokens. At least 400 tokens were allocated to all users of the platform, including those who have not used Uniswap for a long time.
