A spokesperson told Reuters that NFT sales may be made only by users who “meet eBay’s standards.” The platform allows purchases of tokens in US dollars.

Sellers can trade digital collectibles such as baseball cards. According to Jordan Sweetnam, eBay’s Senior Vice President, the platform will in the future give users access to a broader range of NFTs.

According to The Block, most of the NFTs available on the platform are issued on the WAX blockchain. To purchase them, a compatible digital wallet is required.

Earlier, CEO Jamie Iannone said that eBay is considering the possibility of accepting cryptocurrency payments.

Floyd Mayweather announced the release of an NFT collection in the run-up to a bout with YouTuber Logan Paul.
