Details on timing and pricing have not been disclosed.
Among the features:
- Cheaper, with all the advantages of the current tier, but with ads.
- A more expensive version with the same features, but without ads.
In August, as part of a broad rebranding of the social network, Musk renamed the Twitter Blue subscription to X Premium.
In September, the billionaire announced his intention to make the platform paid for all users. He said that X plans to charge “a small monthly fee”.
Earlier in October, the network launched a test of paid account creation for $1 for residents of New Zealand and the Philippines. Musk attributed the move to fighting bots.
