The funded teams work on solutions for both the original network and ETH 2.0. The grant recipients also work on educational programs, the implementation of zero-knowledge protocols, on developer tools, and on layer-2 solutions for the network.
Among the projects funded by the Ethereum Foundation in the second quarter were the Schlesi ETH 2.0 testnet developer, the Prysm Client team adapting the client from Prysmatic Labs to staking, and Lighthouse, which is working on a similar task.
The grants programme is run by the Ecosystem Support Program team. In its statement it reminded that a few other ecosystem projects received support not in the form of traditional grants and did not appear in the presented list.
Earlier, the Ethereum Foundation announced the creation of a team to secure Ethereum 2.0.
