Ethereum Network Sees Surge in Daily Smart-Contract Deployments

On September 9, the number of Ethereum smart contracts launched on the network reached almost 300 units, although just a couple of months earlier this metric did not exceed 50.

On September 8 and 10, users deployed 250 smart contracts each. According to experts, such momentum is driven by growing interest among developers in the decentralized finance (DeFi) segment.

According to the analytics platform Santiment, Ethereum developers’ activity on GitHub reached a seven-month high.

There is a shortage of auditing resources in the market – specialists’ services are booked for several months ahead.

Back in the spring of 2020, after the market crash from March 12 to April 26, 2020, users deployed more than a million smart contracts on the Ethereum network.

\n

In May, analysts at Glassnode reported that 77% of Ethereum coins not involved in smart contracts had not moved in six months.
