Ethereum price falls below $2,000

On June 21, the price of the second-largest cryptocurrency fell below $2,000, briefly touching $1,950 (Bitstamp).

At the time of publication, Ethereum quotes had fallen to around $1,984. The average gas price is 21 Gwei.

In May, the price of Bitcoin fell below $34,000. Currently the flagship is trading at around $32,600 (Bitstamp).

In May, Ethereum’s price fell more than 50%. Two days earlier, non-profit organization Ethereum Foundation transferred 35,053 ETH (~$115 million at the time of the transaction).
