Grayscale crypto funds raise $500 million in a single day

Barry Silbert, chief of Grayscale Investments, said that the company’s cryptocurrency funds rose by $500 million in a single day.

The total value of crypto assets under Grayscale’s management reached $16.4 billion. As of December 17, this figure stood at $13.7 billion.

The Bitcoin Trust surpassed $14 billion, while the second-most popular Ethereum Trust stood at $1.8 billion.

Earlier, Grayscale Investments paused accepting deposits into crypto funds from new clients. However, investments in the Horizen, XRP, Stellar Lumens, and Zcash trusts remain available.

From January 13 to December 12, 2020, assets under management by the company grew by 430% (from $2.3 billion to $12.1 billion).
